You pull the steering wheel with a steer wheel puller :) , then you need a tool called a lock plate tool to push that inner plate down so you can remove the snap ring, i dont remember if the turn signal switch is above or below the lock plate but that signal switch has to be removed and then...
Well nice to see you back here and glad you are still kicking, you had some warranty issues yourself. I hope you are fully recovered and dont over do it on the truck work.
This thread was helpful recently, just finished this up last week on the k1500 gasser. Put in a new vent box and evaporator, compr, condensor, lines , heater core, everything.
Epoxied up some cracks in the dash, so now its cracking somewhere else :rolleyes5:
I guess I need to fiberglass...
Did you install it? Did you get it to work? I bought a dorman handle for my daughters 93 and couldnt get it to work. Bought a GM handle and works great.
Ya they dont want to lower their profit margin by buying any packing material or decent boxes. You cant order a heavy steel item along with anything thats breakable cuz they just toss them in the same box with no packing
I really like that truck! If I didnt already have too many irons in the fire and fish to fry I would try and talk you out of it - with profit for you of course.... So what state are you in???? :D
