    Front end needs some work.

Usually, but I'm working 70+ hrs/week. Not this time.

    Banned on The Diesel Place

I personally think that if a discussion about a product is fact based it shouldn't matter who is a vendor or not. For instance, "I think Valvoline is better than Amsoil." I would be fine with a fact based discussion on the cost benefit between those two product manufacturers. I would not...

What time do you wake up on a work day?

0430 weekdays and 0630 weekends. PT in the morning never worked for me, unless I was forced into it. Never Again Volunteer Yourself (NAVY)

See and avoid the new plastic Wix fuel filter for the Duramax!

Ah, possibly not a design issue, but possibly a quality contol issue. Thanks for the clarification.

See and avoid the new plastic Wix fuel filter for the Duramax!

The Donaldson water cavity is bigger than the old Wix and is MUCH bigger than the new one. I like Donaldson's fuel filter for the Dmax.

    Gear/Trans oil recommendations

Dropping the pan and doing a traditional service is fine. Flush is fine as long as it's not an Allison(depending on who you ask).

    Gear/Trans oil recommendations

Hey y'all. For the front and rears I recommend the Severe Gear 75w-90 (SVG), and for the transmission I recommend the Amsoil Synthetic Trans fluid (ATF). Unfortunately, the "Auto" 4wd transfer case is not an application I can cover. As far as I know, you are stuck with the GM Auto-Trak II...

Bypass Oil Filter Filtration or the Oil Centrifuge Filtration?

100% of contaminants is impossible, how does it remove the acids of combustion? Not all contaminants are heavier than the oil itself. I know many OTR trucks have centrifugal systems installed and they work well. Do they work better than a bypass? I would need to see some documentation, I...
