I'll be busy replacing my injection pump today. I've done the PMD and relocated it, I still haven't done the lift pump relay mod yet but that's coming soon. The truck has been acting up for a few years, and because of one of those "acting up" instances, I had purchased a new reman injection pump...
Unless there is more than one temp sensor... it's not the sensor cuz as soon as I unplug it, the rpm's change. Is there a place I can mount a mechanical gauge probe?
He said that both times that problem happened to him turned out to be a pinhole in the return line. Please explain that one to me... How could a pinhole in the return line cause the "misfire"? How can the return pass air to the IP? I can understand the feed line (and I suspect mine to have a...
I've been working at a place that sells heavy truck parts for a few years now. The other day, looking for a product for a customer, I cam across this:
http://www.tectran.com/images/pdf/elecpedals.pdf
Anyone know if that WM131549 is the same as what is in our vehicles? If so, they also...
Due to a fuel problem I'm having (getting air in the FFM), I've decided to go ahead and install my auxiliary fuel tank that I bought for the truck 2 years ago. I'll be installing a Baldwin FB1301 filter base on the frame between the tank and the LP. The FB1301 has 2 inlets and 2 outlets The 2...
Once the LP has the signal to run, does it run all the time? Or does it run intermittent?
Since it gets the signal to run with oil pressure, I'm thinking it runs all the time. Wiring it up to be live with the key on could be an issue and obviously that's where the oil pressure comes into play...
The temp gauge started to go a little funny last year. I forget if I posted anything here about it. I replaced the temp sender and it's still either not working, sporadic or pinned to the max ans setting the "Check Gauge" light on. All other gauges read ok, is it the gauge itself? And does it...
I did a few searches and couldn't find what people prefer for injectors on the 6.5's... That and the Glow Plugs of choice as well, from what I've been reading they probably are the ac delco 60G's?
Looks like the glow plug wire going to #1 cylinder fried when I last tried to start my truck. Now the glow plug light isn't coming on. I've checked the fuse in the underhood fuse box, it's good... Where to check next?
Why did the wire fry? Did the glow plug short out? If I disconnect that...
I'm double posting but I do think this needs it's own thread.
Ok, I replaced the lift pump, had a heck of a time getting the truck started again but it finally did. However, it was still "missing". I'd rev it up a bit and it would kind of go away but still "missing". I let it idle on it's own...
After getting the issue fixed with the converter bolts backing off and also taking the starter nose out, we made a 3 hour trip to go race last weekend. The trip down was good except for one of the trailer brakes kept sticking.
On the way back, about 30 minutes from home it started... The...
I think it's over... I was heading home from work tonight, A/C on high and music turned up. Something was making noise :skep: I turned the A/C and radio off and it was sounding like the fan wanted to go through the rad!! I revved up the engine and the noise would go away. So I was thinking...
I was reading a thread about someone not very pleased with their TM since it either creates unneeded boost when not wanted (at lower rpm's) while having good WOT boost pressure and/or not enough WOT boost for lower rpm normal pressure (for fuel economy).
So I had a thought... Either replace...
I just picked up an auxiliary fuel tank to put in the bed of my truck  I have a friend that had installed one in his as well and told me about the T-connector he bought that had a check ball in it. Can anyone point me in the right direction for that? He doesn't remember where he got it LOL
I'm looking at building a 32'X32' garage. I would like to find free plans for one. I've been searching online and have not come up with any so far. I'm looking for 32'x32' with a gable roof with about a 4-12 or 5-12 pitch and 12' high ceiling. Would also like to get a list of materials too. :)...
