Temp gauge issue...

The temp gauge started to go a little funny last year. I forget if I posted anything here about it. I replaced the temp sender and it's still either not working, sporadic or pinned to the max ans setting the "Check Gauge" light on. All other gauges read ok, is it the gauge itself? And does it affect anything on the ECM side?

You have a short to ground on the temp wire. They like to burn on the manifold. I think ground will pin the gauge hot anyway.
