I saw this and thought there might be someone here with some interest. I do not understand electrical stuff so maybe this has nothing you could use.

Lately truck seems to pulsate in RPM's without me changing the accelerator peddle. Just enough to notice it. I though maybe fuel filter needs serviced, but I think it only has 5000 miles or so on it. Then I thought PMD acting up.
Then I checked codes.

I've got a 6.5 engine in my barn taking too much space. It's a 929 block, I'm pretty sure, cause the number is 12552929.
A guy heard I had it and wants to buy it. The heads were cracked from overheating, short block is there. Give me an idea of its value. Thanks.
I changed oil and filter, and added 8 quarts. The truck is a '95, but has a newer engine in it. I only know this because it has a tap for the oil sending unit under the manifold also. I am just wondering if the engine will start puking oil if I don't remove a quart. I'm inclined to just...
I notice the needle movement on the volt meter, when the turn signal is on the meter dips. Is this a typical symptom of mid 90's vehicles or is it caused by bad grounds?
What's your experience, the gauge, grounds, or sending unit in tank problem?
I'm ready to drop the tank and start from there, but then if it's the gauge.... I don"t need the practice!!
I was going to inspect the rear brakes. How do I get to the star wheel? Do I knock out what looks like a spot at the bottom of the inner housing to get to it? What does it take a hammer and chisel?
Seems kinda odd, this truck has 226K miles and no easy access to the rear brakes?
And, no...
My understanding is the PMD generates heat and without dissipating it early failure results. With the PMD in the original position the engine heat adds to the problem. So the solution is to relocate the PMD to a cooler place, and part of the solution is to include an aluminum heat dissipater...
There is one listed on Kan. City CL. Hear running, out of an '84(I think) $300. I don't know anything about it, just happened to see it. Maybe it'll tickle someone's fancy!
The truck is running real good. I've put about 130 miles on it since I've got it running. New GP's, OPS, return lines, rotors, front brakes, batteries, rebuilt injectors, cleaned the fuel monitor, new lines from FM, replaced driver door latch.
The heater is more heat then I can stand. I...
It was a '76 (or there abouts) Chev 3/4T, 4x4 with Deutz 5 cyl. in it and it was installed by a dealer when it was new. Had an engine bay FULL, and since it's air cooled there was not radiator, fan or shroud, just engine. Had a heater mounted on the pass. inner fender.
What do you use and where is it obtained? How about the gasket for the oil drain flange at the turbo? Can I get these at the dealer separately?
I started with the need to replace return lines. So, why not do glow plugs? Well then, what about injectors?
I'm just making work for myself...
Friends 95, 6.5 TD starts and runs with out the fuel relay plugged in.
When the engine is turned off the LP is running because it continues for a few seconds.
We also opened the needle valve at the WIF hose with the engine running. Fuel ran out the line and engine continued to run----so...
It's wet, cold weather here and the truck is setting in it!!
Can someone give me an idea of the length of hose required to replace from the fuel monitor going to the steel line going to the LP?
Does this line just go down over the bell housing and clamp to the steel? If I had it on a...
I just acquired this truck with 226,000 miles on the clock, 1/2 T, Z-71, 4x4. It has not ran in at least two months.
PO said the engine was replaced 40,000 ago, replaced PMD recently, changed fuel filter and lift pump last fall. They said it ran fine until the weather started getting colder...
