I've got a 6.5 engine in my barn taking too much space. It's a 929 block, I'm pretty sure, cause the number is 12552929.

A guy heard I had it and wants to buy it. The heads were cracked from overheating, short block is there. Give me an idea of its value. Thanks.

So it's basically a short block that's usable?

If it's crack free, I would think you can get quite a bit for it. 929 blocks aren't supposed to be too bad.

Yards want 1500 for a good crack free 6.5 core around here. And that's a bare block. Not sure about your area.

If it's cracked in the main webs, or the cylinder liners, it's scrap.

Maybe a hundred or so if the crank, rods and pistons are still good.....

I sold my old engine for 250. Real rusty and needed new heads(due to glows being rotted in), used ether to start it for a good 2 years...
