  • Dave, I don't know why I noticed your name after making that post, it's something that can't be explained.

I've still got the '84, 6.9! It start as good as it did a couple of years ago. It's really amazing. I had it setting for a couple of months this winter, went out, gave the GP's about 6-7 seconds with the manual switch and it fires right off.

When diesel was nearly $5 a gallon I rigged up a filter to filter waste motor oil and was running about 50/50 or 60/40 depending to the temperature. I have a friend who is a mechanic and he changes a lot of oil. I get all I want from him.

I bought an 01 Dodge with a cummins in it about 3 years ago. It's my go to town truck!

I just bought a '95 Chevy 6.5L Turbo Diesel Z-71 4x4. It wasn't running when I bought it and it still isn't!!!! That's why I was on the BB where I saw your name.
    Hi Len!

You've got the right guy! Several (maybe 4) years ago, you sold me an instrument panel with a tach setup. Installed it and been using it ever since. Works like a champ. Couple of years ago, I bought a 94 Chevy 1Ton dually that had been sitting for almost four years. The owner was tired of trying to get it running./ I drug it to the house and tinkered with it for almost a year. It not only runs, it runs real well.

What are you up to now? You went by ditchwitch when we were on the Pre-Power Stroke list. I still touch base there from time to time, just to see what Dave Sponaugle and the other guys are up to. <grin>
