U can justs get em cut by a water jet. I used 3/8s plate it dident wrap at all. I'm not even running gaskets it's steel to steel no leaks

A guy would half to find a turbo that works well and fits nice. Then get pre bent pieces build a jig and weld it all up for selling. But Depening on the time invested if it would be worth what you would make selling is how I look at it

I would if they have no desire to improve or modify it and are happy with it as is. Other wise no I would recommend an up grade. The HX40WII or what ever it's called seems to be the best bang for buck at the moment. Otherwise HE351VE or VVT if they really wanna do sum fabing.

I defiantly think its a lack of lubrication during run time. Did he blow an oil line during the time he ran this turbo? maybe clippin down the highway blew a line lost a signicant amount of oil then shut the truck off a little to late? I lost a line coming into town once my guage read nothing...

I agree with pre oiling. On all my duramax/6.5 turbo swaps I always fill a small cap of oil and giver a gulp when Im ready for start up.

Agreed with mike. A beefed up 4L80 will take what ever a 6.5 will throw at it. Some guys even run these trannys with the duramax mated to them. I have taken out both trannys on my 6.5s im leaning more towards the fact they were warn out they let go. I had the project truck beefed right up...

I Bet the honey combes would be packed with ice and snow for the winter months and be real un balanced at times. Probley be good for summer months though
