dad and i both have alemite power grease guns. mine is a 12v and his a 14.4v. both of them are awesome. i like them better than the lincoln that my uncle has. if you get a John Deere power grease gun it is made by alemite.
it makes no difference to me whether it is a 2500 or a 3500. i'm getting along towing anything i want with my 2500 now. i'm just looking for the most economical way to get into a NBS truck when its time to send the LB7 down the road.
good work on the info boys. someone somewhere else mentioned spacers for the rear axle to bring the wheels out where they're supposed to be on a SRW 3500.
anybody done this before? anybody know what all is required for the swap? i'm starting to look for different trucks and i'm finding a lot more NBS dually vehicles in my price range than SRWs.
any info is appreciated.
that's what makes equipment decisions around here, dealer support. all equipment manufacturers have good equipment, but stuff breaks. if you don't have a good dealer, basically you have a 100k tin can sitting around sometimes.
dont' forget brandon that if you're removing all of the plant material (silage), you're going to removing a lot more nutirents that need to be replaced with more fertilizer than you would be removing with just grain.
that's nice mike, i've got a 316 i'm putting the snow blower on in the morning. i wish i had power steering on mine with that blower hanging out front.
we have an 8 row head on the 9660. we leave it on going down the road and we travel about 25 miles from field to field.
nice pics ryan. how'd the cat run? guys either love them or hate them from what i've picked up around here.
we really like it we have a 30 ft. head on it for beans. we were cutting at 5.5-6.0 mph most of the fall when it would get tough at night you'd have to slow down to 4.5 mph. lol. we traded the 9500 in on the 9660, but we were able to run both machines for about a week this fall. that helped a...
we've got an in bin dryer that transfers over to another bin. about 14k bushels of capacity between the two. not nearly enough capacity as we'd like, but it works for now.
most of the corn goes straight to town out of the field.
that's the twin row planter we got last winter to plant beans with. we're going to plant some corn with it this spring to see how we like the twin row corn.
here's a picture of the 7820 on our 12 row corn planter.
we really like it. we pull our 12 row planter with it and do all of the sidedressing with it. also use it to mow wheat stubble and ditches and stuff. we used to spread dry fertilizer with it, but now that we have a floater we don't use it for that anymore.
we pulled our 21 ft landsman this...
