How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

Yes.
If an injector line begins to leak it will cause that cylinder to miss.
If the leak is not too bad the cylinder will begin to sort of drop out.
If there is a bad injector, or for some reason the engine has a miss, start loosening the tube nuts at each injector, usually a couple of turns, if the line does not break seal in a couple or three turns of the line nut, gently tap it with something like tue wood handle of a ball peen hammer until it breaks seal. That leaking injector should cause the engine to miss, tighten that nut back down and move to the next cylinder, repeat until You come to the cylinder that when the line nut is loosed and the seal is broke so that line is leaking and that cylinder makes no difference in how the engine is idling, that will be the dead hole.
Swap that injector with one from a hole that is firing good and if the miss moves to the other hole then replace that injector.

A bit off topic, but I've always wondered what these connections were for, they were always just there, not connecting to anything.

My cruise control doesn't work, so I can only assume its for that20250621_184143.jpg20250621_184150.jpg

New rubber end cap is on, had spares from when it last gave up on me (opposite side of the motor)

Wonder what causes them to just.... do that, its so odd

To hell with it, ill just swap out the injector lines
Thats just a cap to block off the return fuel.
If You have some small 30R9 rated hose and a small plug You can make a new cap for that fitting.
Pull the cap and take it to the parts store. Even 30R4 hose will hold temporarily until You can get the good stuff from QuadStar Tuning or Leroy Diesel. Their hose kits comes with new block off caps.

So my transmission was overfilled, found out when a pool of ATF was at the bottom of my truck at a pit stop, thought it came from the pan, or even the dipstick tube, but an old head who also owned a Blazer saw me and upon discussions, we saw how ATF literally came out from the dipstick

Hasnt done that since, Transmission temp was 149°F at idle, was going through some hills for the previous hour though (Water temp was 200 and below)
