Reveal is today, however, we've gotten an early leak!

My thoughts:

The "U" shaped dips on each corner of the grille that allows the dumper to follow through is a little weird.. however, I still think this is a huge improvement over the Chevrolet version.

I can wait to revisit this a few months down the road to see if I feel the same way...

I was surprised GM didn't try to bump up the torque on the Duramax. Dodge is claiming 1000 foot pounds of torque now with their high output Cummins Diesel. Of course we all know, all that power means nothing unless you can effectively put it to the ground through a well designed powertrain. :)

It will be interesting to see what kind power the new GM gas engine will be putting out?

As far as the cost of vehicles it has become ridiculous....

The word I heard is the turbo on the L5P has been giving trouble on trucks pushed hard. This isn't much of a surprise as Banks said the stock turbo was the limiting factor on the L5P. That and there has been some low mile engines with bent pushrods.

The GMC is a HUGE improvement over the Chevy. I can't afford one as a base model costs more than my house did, but if I hit the lotto I could be seen in the GMC. As to Dodge, I haven't seen any info other than that 1K ft lbs is only under certain specific conditions, and they're still lagging in HP at 400 iirc. I hate admitting it, but IF by some weird circumstance I needed a new HD diesel truck, I would have to look awfully hard at a FORD. The 6.7l has gotten the bugs worked out, and proven itself pretty solid. My only concern is that friggen CP4 high pressure pump they're still using(which has a pending class action lawsuit against it), and ironically CUMMINS switched to a CP4 for the new 6.7l, so time will tell if it holds up for them any better than it has for GM and Ford.

One of my deer hunting buddies bought a new 2018 Ford F250 with the 6.7L Powerstroke. He traded in an early 2000 model F250 (with about 230000 miles on it) that had the 7.3L Powerstroke. He basically said good gracious what a difference in power and the noise level. He doesn't like the idea of the DEF, but he said that would be a trade off. He said the 2018 F250 pulled his 30 foot camper like a champ up the steep grades in these mountains here.

Not sure why we're adding lights above each wheel? Not a fan..

Yea I don't know what they are thinking unless they are trying to be like the big rigs? Big rig trailers have the special turn signal lights about midways back, to let you know when they put their signal on for a turn or lane change, I know you guys have seen them of course.

One question would be about the lights on the new trucks, are they turn signal lights or just marker lights?

Either way I don't care about them, just something else to get damaged or to have to repair.

Same, If I buy a newer truck it will most likely be a F350.
