Replacing the drive with a new one is super cheap and really easy
You can get a DVD RW for about 30 bucks and installation is 4 small machine screws and 2 cables. There is no magic or mystery about it
That's how I have mine, too. Sits on the wiper valance and does not hurt anything, plus it's impossible to forget and drive away as I can see it out the windshield
There is an issue with Outlook.
If your mailbox file, which is a file with the suffix .pst is 2 GB in size or larger, all manner of bad things can happen. 2 GB is pretty huge, but if you use Outlook heavily on a daily basis, you can easily get a mailbox file that large. I have to archive...
I am very interested in these things, but I read a couple of things on their web site that kind of scare me. First off, they say you should replace the bushings every 3 years?? What's that about? That means that every 3 years, you gotta basically take 'em off and put 'em on
The 2nd thing...
Be careful if you switch out to a DOT 5... I changed out my Mustang to the 5 and did not flush the lines or calipers. The stuff congealed with my original DOT 3 that was in there from the factory and I ended up re-building 4 calipers and flushing the whole damn thing out
PITA

I actually remember reading on the other site that the white ones were the newer and better ones. My '08 came with white, and the replacements I have purchased have been white
OK, best possible conditions; I had a slight tailwind (very slight), filled 'er up, sat down and drove 613 miles without stopping and I got 20.1 mpg on the DIC. That was with about a thousand pounds of gear, AND my ladders and rack, which are like giant sails. I think that if I had no...
Thanks for all the replys, guys. I haven't been on for awhile...
Ark, that's the kind of feed back I was hoping to hear. I am cutting my next interval to 4k, which is NOW, and will send another sample to Blackstone.
BTW, poster who referenced copper eating the TBN, I had them check it...
According to Blackstone, it could be part of the break in process for the duramax, and might be normal, but I wont know for a couple more oil changes. THey told me they expect the numbers to drop significantly in the next changes
And I am bummin...
9800 miles on the oil and 10300 on the truck. Sent it in to Blackstone labs for my first ever UOA, and I can't believe how high the copper was in the test results. 437 PPM, and normal according to Blackstone is 10. I freaked...
So, I called Blackstone and spent about...
Actually, Farm & fleet is where I buy it too. They had it back in November when I bought my truck, and there's still no one else carrying it.
I'm not holding my breath. Just gotta make a trip to Montgomery twice a year...
THat used to be a BIG problem on late '90's Fords. Problem was driveshaft spline binding up and not sliding smoothly as suspension moves up and down. The fix was to pack the splines with this funky blue teflon grease, and it worked.
If you don't think what you are feeling is normal, try...
