You'll need:
- a DB2 or DB4, 12 volt injection pump
- 1993 or older injection lines (6.5 or 6.2 should work)
- 1993 or older accelerator pedal (or, I believe, a 99 or older gasser pedal)
- 1993 or older throttle cable (or, I believe, a 99 or older gasser throttle cable)
- a standalone...
Do you have a manual or automatic?
The only two things in common between a 6.5 and a Dmax are the fact that they are both diesels and both come as options in GM trucks.
Bill, I think Tim makes a good point about the PMD relocation...IMO an ideal bumper would have a spot with good airflow where a PMD w/ heatsink or Heaths relocation kit could be easily mounted. Just another thought.
I'd like one of those cables, even thought about seeing if I could fab one up. But once I realized that I had the electronic actuator, I figured it was good enough. My understanding is that the electronic actuators are very reliable. I just made it a bit more reliable. It was pretty cheap...
Deere, just a brainstorming idea, but wouldn't it be money well spent to put airbags in, especially if you are towing your 5th wheel or gooseneck alot? I was under the impression that airbags can really help prevent premature failure of leaf springs and blocks. I might be wrong, though.
After a month of my 4x4 not working, thinking the thermal actuator when kaput, I discovered that the PO already upgraded the actuator and found that one of the wires on the switch located at the front of the transfer case had broken.
Rather than fix that, I opted to run a switch up into my cab...
Bill, I think your bumpers look good, personally.
Recommendations for a 6.5 bumper - KEEP THE NOSTRILS! That's our calling card. I would love to see a bumper with some fog light ports toward the bottom, in addition to NOSTRILS. :D
Well, after rolling around in the snow underneath my rig for a while I found where a butt splice was pulled out. I'm getting it put back together, but wiring it to a switch rather than the xfer case. That should work. I threw a multimeter on it and only got power when it was in 4x4. I just...
I have no idea where that is.
ETA: where is the switch at? on the transfer case itself?
Also, I traced the lines from the diff harness to a relay on the firewall. From there, I don't know what is what.
