Short runs on propane engines will turn oil milky because the oil doesn't get hot enough to boil off the water . Propane engines produce much more water vapor during combustion than gasoline engines. Change the oil and work it for a couple of hours and watch the coolant level. Check the oil for...
I don't have a way to do pictures. Mine is the old style with two small flats on the collets, and when the bit is locked into the collet, the heel of the flute ( the cutting edge is the front and follow the bevel back to the heel) should be centered on an imaginary line down through the middle...
You need to make sure that the heel of the flute is aligned with the centerline of one of the indexing flats in the collet holding the drill bit, then it works perfectly.
I've had a Drill Doctor for about twenty years. It works great once you learn how to work it correctly. Does a great job on split points too. When it breaks, Ill get another one.
I did my '04 two years ago with the Dorman pre-bent stainless lines, $70.58 delivered to my door. Easy install and still look like new. I was already to buy factory pre-bent lines for about $100.00, but found out about the Dormans.
I just installed a set of stainless from Dorman on my '04 a couple months ago. They fit great and cost $70.58 delivered to my door. GM sells a pre bent set for about $100.00 or so, but I went with stainless. Brake lines have gotten a lot cheaper since I last did them three and a half years ago...
The bars were in on mine. The bushing had rusted away on one end and it was thumping up and down. The cross member that holds the ends of the t bars just kinda "floats" via the bushings on each end. I'm thinking that both bushings could be broken and the t bars would still stay in place, just...
I'm not sure about your generation of truck, I just replaced one on my 2002. Groung off the rivets that held it on and bolted in a new one. Took about an hour. Easy and the replacement was about $40.00. Cheaper if I would have ordered one online, but I needed it fixed now.
I'm not familiar with Dodge brakes. Are the parking brakes a drum within the rotor like the GM ones? Could the parking brake shoes be worn into a groove and holding the rotor on?
I've had good luck with Morse carbide tipped hole saws. They're made in the USA and are reasonably priced. I can't remember if I got them at Grainger or MSC. I bought two for drilling a 2.375" hole in Corian (1200+ holes) and finished the job with just one. No coolant, just compressed air to...
