Re-read post #12....
There is no mode that it goes in to, once the tank is frozen. It assumes a level, and let's you go and warm up. It could go into limp mode, but part of the recall addressed that. In some cases(not many), their truck would go into limp mode and say low DEF or DEF quality low...
WOW.........do you honestly think GM would release a truck with that much bullshit going on??? Other than the one DEF problem I had(which wasn't related to cold weather), first year truck....NBD, I haven't even noticed that there is a SCR system on it. I've never had any problems, and my truck...
I don't like that either.... Makes it feel like it doesn't have as much power as it really does.
Although, I can live with it.......and my warranty!!!
I didn't hear that..... That sucks. :(
EFI Live wants to do it the legal/morally correct way........
H&S, not so much.........
From what I can tell......I'd say the Chevy is underrated, and the Ford is overrated. Just look at every test so far, and then look at the numbers on the paper.
Thought I'd share what I did today since I'm sure other LML owners are after the same result. It's VERY easy, BTW.
First of all, the purpose of this "mod" is to have your fog lights turn on automatically with your low beams, and to be able to have your high beams on at the same time as your fog...
Sorry dude! I am either trying to see what is happening when it launches or I am driving...and I'm not gonna lie, my memory is terrible!!! I'm going again 2 weeks from now and almost promise I'll get video!
A little update... went to the track again today for testing. Best run was a 10.34 et and 127 mph, with a 1.42 60'. Not to shabby for a N/A small-block!! It definitely has potential for 10.20's!
It's not the techs you have to worry about....if the truck needs any major work, the tech has to take a screen shot of the Tech 2 and send it to GM, that's what you have to worry about. Still though, that will be your best bet in trying to keep warranty.
Went to the track today to do some testing.....10.47 et/127 mph, not to shabby! With a little more tuning it should see low 40's/high 30's! Forgot to get video again though, sorry!
It is possible to wire the marker lights on the front as the DRLs? In Canada it is a law that you need DRLs. I'm putting a set of HIDs in and I have to disconnect the DRLs. It's not that big of a deal, because I have asked a few cops and have never heard of anyone getting a ticket for not having...
No....and if I do, it will take me about 5 minutes with a die grinder, no big deal.
Yeah, I was doing that for a while but it's a little bit of a PITA to have to keep putting it in and out, just thought this would be easier!!
On the NBS trucks, they come with 2.5" receivers. They also come with 2" adapters that slide in. I have heard of a lot of these going missing, and I have had it almost fall out a couple of times after forgetting to put the pin in it, so I tacked it in place and painted it.
I was just joking...
