    Also no slipping, shifts perfect. I've noticed that the noise stops after I drive it for a while.

    No it makes the noise at a complete stop, and a vibration. As soon as I start driving it stops.

    I have something similar going on. When Im in drive and step on the brake I can hear a growl. I thought I might of had a broken crank, but the noise is coming and going. Tranny shifts perfect, no metal in either oils.

    I'm looking at a surplus 6.5 non-turbo. I called gep and they identified it. He told me the pistons aren't anodized and that its a lower HP engine. He told me I could install my turbo but its going to be a lower hp engine. Has anyone purchased an N/A motor and installed a turbo? Results?

    Im leaning toward the 'temp/cam Sensor' on the injection pump. Test for that is disconnecting and restart. Cheapest thing to rule out. I found a video of a 6.5 doing the same thing.     I'm running an ATT and 4inch exhaust, larger crossover pipe, kojo tune. I'm either going to rebuild the engine or buy a teds engine. I haven't made up my mind. However, a performance cam can be part of the rebuild kit. Need more info before I decide, but leaning toward teds.
