It is the original pump to the truck with nearly half a million Kms on it...Changed out the PMD and Lift pump when it started with the issues it had that ended up causing it to be parked. So not really much left in the system to replace at that stage. Plus the truck has always had issues with...
Wow...sorry for digging this old thread up but figured it would be better to do this with the old thread rather then starting a new one on this truck...didn't realize it has been 4 years since the truck was last driven...Life took some sharp turns on me which put it on the back burner. Hopefully...
Cool good to know that the check valve would solve that possible problem. The logic behind the idea is to provide easier access to service the filter and secondly to get the pump and filter out of harms way when off road. Some of the trails i drive on have a habit of putting me in situations...
Using a pump like the walbro you sell mounted in the bed with a filter mounted before the pump. The thing i was concerned about was line routing. The way i was thinking of doing it was leaving the stock fuel lines as they are and using the bypass kit i got from you to run hoses from the stock...
I remember reading that thread before!
I belive it is infact an mgw thread that explains it. Either way I lift it the diff is moved so win win. Tbh since im loosing faith in the gm ifs system its most likely gonna be sas. So with that said I guess my 6.2 becomes my back up engine for my '94...
The 6.2 is out of an 82 or 83 silverado 4x4 and yes I have the original pan plus I have a 6.5 pan kicking around that could be used to show where the 6.2 pan would need to be modified to clear the ifs diff.

Hey Guys i have a couple more questions about fuel system upgrades i am considering for my truck. I have seen mention of lift pumps being mounted in the bed in a thread i read on here recently. I am looking at the Walbro pump that Burning Oil sells and i was wondering if it would have enough...
Ok since my original plans for my 6.2 did not pan out I havr some questions about dropping it into my '94 eventually.
From my understanding I may need to find an oil pan from an early gmt400 chassis truck that is 4wd with the 6.2 due to clearances around the diff correct?
Could the original...
Thanks for the info guys! Hydraboost is def on my to do list with this truck. So I understand correctly I may need to pull the brake pedal from the hydraboost donor if its 95+?

Hmmmm this def sounds encouraging. So basically if I mod the shroud and run the HO water pump with Dmax fan I can safely run a body lift...def worth some thought.

So the general feeling im getting between what im reading here and reading on the diesel place its one of those things that will take a lot of extra time and money for very little gain and that it would be easier and cheaper to just go with a suspension lift. That about sum it up?

Well...after a bit more trouble shooting and talking to the owner of a local Diesel shop it has been determined that my injector pump may very well be worn right out. Considering it has almost 500k on it due to being the trucks original ip that is a pretty good possibility. Plus im having...
Ok this was mostly spured on by conversations on gmt400 but I am wondering if it is safe to body lift one of our 6.5td trucks? I know the engine needs to be kept below 210 degrees. Does the radiator need to be kept in stock location or will an electric fan pull enough cfm to keep the engine...
Ok as i mentioned in my previous brake thread i picked up an '89 K3500 and while the braking is alright for its size i have gotten used to having the Hydraboost set up in my '94. What will i need to convert my K3500 to hydra boost?
Booster
lines that go between the power steering pump and...
