I installed some ATT on customers truck, they are very happy with them. On mine, I'm running with an HX40W-II; not bad too.
Hmmm, I should have consider that before spending the extra money elsewhere
Glad to see you again all ;)
Yes, rebuilding saga:
to make it short, I had a 6.5l Ted's take out, a military optimizer. Was running absolutely perfect. A customer felt in love with my engine: he offered me to buy it at very good price, to pay for all mechanic work, and even pay all stuff for...
Hey AK. Life's a bitch sometimes... but as long as you're healthy
Yes, it's been while, a "long while" I've been away, but I still have a 6.5l, and I still remember you all °°)
Hi all,
we're willing to swap a C3500 14 bolts full float rear end on a 1997 K1500 6.5TD which is equiped with a 14 bols semi-float rear end.
Other than the 8 lugs instead of 6, is it just a plug & play swap, or does it involve mods and weldings?
Also, we heard about 6 lugs full float rear...
We have the Chevy Colorado Z71 in New Caledonia (and the AMAROK too), which is in fact a rebadged Isuzu D-Max, with a 3.0l 4Cyl turbo diesel-engine, 200 BHP, and lots of electronics like any new truck...
OK, I understand that.
Though, I though there is an advantage of getting more volume of oil moved, especially around valve lifters. It is said that 454, 350 engines love high volume (I know, I know, those are gassers :hihi: ) so I was guessing if it is the case for the 6.2 diesel.
I didn't...
Yes Leroy.
Now, each cold start is a bit difficult, but she starts. Not worse, I would even say, a bit better than a wekk ago.
During the first 10 minutes, time for the engine to reach it's temperature, the MIL lights ON every now and then, as soon as I accelerate. It goes off as soon as I...
According to the data sheet, the 6.2l has an average compression of 565 lbs per cyl (from 550 to 575 depending on which cylinder), and an oil pressure of 50 lbs at idle. Does it sound good to you for a 6.2l?
