P400 in the Burb install

Yeah, no longer available. I got lucky and found an NOS one on eBay. I used a Vortec 350 cruise cable when I converted the Tahoe. I had to make an adapter for the end of the cable and it worked well, but it was a little crude. I should probably figure how to make them nicely for DB2 conversions.

That would be really nice. But if I remember the gas ones were a bit longer.

I looked at the gas one I have and I think the actual module may be the same but the cable end at the motor is different. Before Nate helped me come to my senses I pulled the gas CC unit out of storage. I think the end from a gasser may be able to be modified and fit on the other post on the DB2 throttle linkage, the one I thought my throttle cable attached to. Another thought, I think a cable end like the ones that go on the transmission TV cable end will fit that fitting on the DB2 linkage. So if you cut the end of the cable and change fittings and use like a uninsulated wire but connector to crimp on the end of the cable replace the one GM crimps on the end. My throttle/cruise cable brackets are custom fabbed to work with the dual thermo housing, back when I did my DS4 to DB2 conversion I thought that was the best cooling setup. But I hear now that the single one is better, who knows.

Yeah it's going to be a big problem when in a few years all the DS4s get worn out and die, people get the rude awakening that Stanadyne discontinued the DS4 in 2020, and that converting to a still probably available due to the military DB2 is like finding a needle in a haystack due to throttle & cruise cables and cable bracket NLA. At least for those of us who don't possess @n8in8or's fab skills. Almost once a week I check the inventory of wrecker yards online within 2 hours of me to see if a '92 or '93 6.5 is on the lot specifically for the aforementioned parts above. Only hit gold once so far and was able to score the aforementioned parts, but have yet to get lucky enough to score again, always have a backup ;)

might grab 2 more- one as spare and one to sell later to pay for your 2 you keep!

Well I've made some headway in the last week, I'll shoot some pics tomorrow and share my progress with you all. Nate I know you gave me some info on the device you use to control the boost pressure to your Puff Limiter but I can't find it. So tomorrow I'll be plumbing a 3/16" boost line from my turbo to the Puff Limiter so I wanted to ask you, do you have your Puff Limiter turned up all the way and then you use the device in the boost line to control it or do you adjust both the Puff Limiter and the boost from the turbo? Again can you share with me the boost controller you use? I was trying to find where you previously shared some info with me and I saw where it looks like you use one to adjust the boost to your waste gate also from the looks of the pics.

Well here is some diesel porn for you guys...

That device had me thinking also, the one next to his glow plug solenoid on that cool bracket...
I think that is the ip return clear line going in the top, and the bosch style 1/8” is returns from each bank of injectors going in each side, then the one on bottom going to the tank.

If not- then I am scared of what new fan dangled device you came up with.

Oh, and seeing that gauge there near the firewall, makes me wanna see it higher and flipped around through the hood like the old pontiac g.t.o.. funny thing is there is a scoop like that made for hummers to help heat escape and now your making me think about it. Haha

DING DING DING! Will won! it is the fuel return system coming from the rear injectors. The gauge by the master cylinder is for my pre oiler pump with the OEM oil pressure switch along with an adjustable pressure switch. Does everyone know what the component to the right of the fuel return log is?

Dang, and I thought I had a lot going on in my engine compartment!

What's this guy?

Nate, I think you have me beat as fare as after market components under the hood, like the intercooler, fuel pressure regulator, coolant filter and then all of that fancy electrical work. And if we matched entire truck aftermarket components you really got me beat. I wished I had your talent and drive!

Looks like some kind of pressure sensor- but too many wires. (Unless that is 2 wires and a clip that looks like more)
I did notice the provent up by the radiator.

Hey Nate, remember this? I can mount it to the front side of the bracket if I feel the need for it along with higher lift pump pressures.

Is that a Hobbs switch for water meth injection?

But you get bonus points for the P400 in there.
