What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

And if you want some lesser expensive tires and have a local shop install them. take a look at this site. this is where I bought the set for my black truck. I picked up a set of blackhawk 245's from them and paid right at 400 for all 4 shipped to me.

I switched from 265s to 235s. If I ever wear them out or they fall apart, I came going back to 265s
Door sticker says 245/75R/16s
With the 285/75R/16s I had to turn the torsion bars way up to keep the 285s from rubbing on the back corner of the fender wells.
I’m afraid that the 265s would do the same.
I want to get the ride height back down to stock.
Plus, narrower tire makes for better traction too.

I had no issues with the 265s rubbing.

The 265s actually made my speedometer read right on everything I had

I switched to 235s for the same reason as you.
I just decided I didn't care for them much after running them for awhile

245/75R/16s is what my 2006 2500HD came with and I pretty well stuck with that size. They might not look as good as some of the bigger tires, but they have done everything I needed for them to do, I just want to keep things simple.

I went 265's on my brown truck simply to help lower the RPM on the freeway. on my black 93 with the "double overdrive" the 245's seem too much at times. I do like the slight lift in height with the 265's though, maybe a small lift with smaller tires but then again that would look funny.
