How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

you can use the JB weld but don't use the quick stuff, the slow curing one will hold better. Pinching the hole will only make it crack where the pin hole is making it worse plus harder for a radiator shop to do the repair when you have no other choice.

adding anything into the system to stop the leak will risk clogging up the heater core or hurting other things. this is a side of the road fix to get you home kinda thing.

best thing is to find exactly where it's leaking and get it repaired properly. if you have experience braising aluminum or know someone that can, that is the best thing next to having a radiator shop do it for you.
