When we ran the chrome ones- we used to take some 36-60 grit sand paper and rough the pulley area where the belt rides. Not a lot- just so it isn’t slick.

Your glow plugs are still cycling to short unless when you started it the ect was 160 or higher.

Change your oil religiously and watch the cooling system. These 6.2 Detroits aren't powerhouses, but they'll last forever if you don't overheat them. Keeping the EGTs low with that turbo kit is going to be your main priority for longevity.

I change it frequently, and yes sir my aluminum radiator does a decent job at keeping it cool
