Highest HP ever out of a 6.5

The bowl areas need big time work. WOW there is so many things stacked against the 6.5 in terms of airflow. The unshrouding of the valves is a very worthwhile exercise, and you are on the right path for sure.


I thought it was a no-no to mill the heads with the precups in place..? :confused:
 
2.02 intake and 1.94 exhaust on the early 6.2 NA motors, course threaded heads.
 
Judging by track times and trap speed, with my current setup, I am at 288rwhp, so I'd bet over 300 at the crank. Which for a mechanical 6.5L with a slight turn on the fuel screw and some custom tuning in other places on the pump, really ain't that bad I don't think. The custom manifolds I'm making are I think really going to help my final power number. I will hopefully have everything done by the end of the week. Will be taking lots of pictures and have a lot of data to compare it to.
