Here are a few pics of a build I'm working on for a member here, long block will be assembled this coming week...

Most of these pics are of the heads, CNC ported, big exhaust valves, TSP valve springs, Heat stop in all runners, Heat barrier combustion chambers, 3 angle valve job... Next week I'll install head studs, MLS gaskets, heads, then it won't be too much longer I'll have it on the run stand...

In the background is another build for a boat, it also has the same work done to the block & heads John's does, it will also have the long block assembled next week..

@JohnShead here is your build...

John's block also got a "short Fill", block filler up to the bottom of the w/p holes, cylinders were diamond honed, total seal ring pack, all bearings were ceramic coated, rotating assembly balanced to 1gr front to back spec, pistons were coated on the tops and skirts, modified P400 oil pump, main & rod bearings coated and clearance set @ .002", new Clevite cam bearings also coated. It's going to have HS rockers and custom length pushrods..

Looking great Chris, it's finally coming together. I guess I need to raise the priority level of my transmission rebuild, it's still completely disassembled on a table in my garage, lots of work to do on the truck to get it ready too, my wife is going to love it:chicken:.

If you have a good rebuilder, take it there.

I'd disconnect the alternator wire check voltage at the alternator

Make sure and protect the end of the wire from arc strikes
