For the hydraulic shop making the hoses, the local one I use has the hos right where you see it on display. It is printed DOT right on it. Just ask the guy working for labeled dot hose to be used- no biggie.

Most of the hose is dot rated, the problem is wether or not they use dot compliant ends with the nylon end shielding. If they don't put the 2 inches of nylon covering at the crimp, then they're not legal regardless of what hose and end is used.
