    Smog Tested Your truck Yet..?

So, my reg is due this month, and it Requires a smog test..My question is, my check engine light comes on every so often. At first I thought it was a glowolug related thing, but If it were a glowplug thing..wouldn't it be on all the time..? BTW, I no longer have the PPE tuner.. Thanks...

    Bad ride yesterday

Blast me if you like, but the salesperson has some resposiblity too. You "Qualify" a buyer before you do much else..in that qualifing, you know the rider is new, or has very little experience riding..imho, this kind of a rider should NOT be on a sportbike i.e. gixxer ect..it's an accident...

    All PPE users

Run the PPE on level 5 (225hp) never noticed a haze at idle, maybe I'll have to check...:D Does roll coal when I step on it though..:pound:

    the everpopular wax thread

Interesting, I've tried the #26 also, and gives a good shine, but the Zymol seems to leave a 'slicker" surface on my truck.

Need some advice on two wheels...

Gsxr is a sportbike, same goes for the CBR Honda, R1/6 Yamaha, and the XR or whatever it is for the Kawasaki's..A bike with fairings, but is more upright, i.e. the Ninja 500/250 would be a sport tourer (sp) They are easier to handle, in the right hands, but not a new rider.

Need some advice on two wheels...

Best case is to ride the bike your interested in, wosrt case is to at least sit on it..take a friend, so he can balance/ stabalize it so you can put Both feet on the pegs, at least that way you can tell if it will be comfy for you. Most dealers won't let you test ride, at least not here in cali.

Need some advice on two wheels...

I think it depends on what kinda dirt riding you've done..i.e. slow single track imho isn't going to prepare you for the adversity on the streets, i.e. cars cuttin you off, or forcing you to alter your course ect.. Also, braking on a street bike is totally different than on dirt, as is...

    Bad ride yesterday

I see the point, but you could say that about other breeds of dogs, like german Shepards, Malamutes, ect. The media has done a terrible disservice to the breed of Pit Bulls imho, and statements like the above proves it. JMHO..

Need some advice on two wheels...

My Son is looking at getting a bike to reduce his fuel cost's..he found that it's easier, and sometimes cheaper to get a new bike, i.e. finance charges, and monthy payments. He too is a new street rider, he ridin dirt, but none of that experience applies, when push comes to shove on the street...

    Bad ride yesterday

Welp, not all sportbike riders are idots..just as not all H.D. riders are idots, there's some in every group. Ego's are the main reason for crashes, why can't riders just ride within themselves..? seen it a few times in the twisties..you gotta walk before you can run.. My last GSXR...

Need some advice on two wheels...

In a word...NO! Sportbikes require you to get " streched out" on the bike, for some it can be uncomfortable on longer rides, plus a sportbike handles a tad different than a cruiser..

Need some advice on two wheels...

First thing I would do if I were you, if you haven't already, is take the MSF course, imho is a must for new riders. Then look for older GS500's ect. 1k won't buy you much, might have to chip in another 1k to get a decent bike..read Safe bike. Also, at your weight a ninja 250 would be a bit...
