    7/18/10 Are diesels still worth the extra money?

    I'm four + years in and 106,700 miles on the OD and I still get a chubby when I fire her up, I'm nocking down 18 mpg with just normal wear and tear, she pulls the camper like a dream and looks good doing it. Yes I'm a diesel head for ever.

    Thanks for the replies, I have been using OEM for air and tranny up till now. I use Amsoil for the oil and oil filter. I am switching to Amsoil in the tranny and it looks like I will stay with the Ally filter. Fuel filter I'm sttill undecided.

    1,3,5,7 on passengers side and 2,4,6,8 on drivers side. I have also learned that the problem is most likely the connectors.

    Tire Reviews

    The stock Firestones sucked for traction but I put 75k on them. I now have 285/75r16 BFG TA KO's with almost 25k on them and I love them, they are wearing well, have little road noise and the traction is great. 1-10 I rate them 8.

    I put BFG T/A KO 285 75 16 on last year and now that I have driven in some real blizzards and nasty ass NY weather I would give them a BIG thumbs up.     What would you suggest

    GM does not recommend a plow due to the diesel package being so heavy already. I was able to talk my dealer into letting me put a plow on but I decided against it in the end.
