I am slowly but surely getting back into working on the diesel, and am trying to get any codes i can from it. I recently purchased a code reader that does both OBD-I and OBD-II. I cannot seem to get the scanner to read my Yukon though. I wanted to ask if my connector looks like everyone else's?

I have all the bolts out, but can't seem to get it to budge. Is there anything special i need to do to it to get it off? As much as i want to just muscle it off with a pry bar, i don't want to chance puncturing the oil pan of messing up another vital component.

How many shims, if any, does the starter need to ensure it doesn't grind the teeth of the flywheel? I am currrently in the process of replacing the flywheel because of this same issue, and don't want to go through this hellacious ordeal again! Thanks guys!
