ok so i went to napa to get the boost solenoid today,, they only carry them for the 6.5l up to 97,, my truck is a 98,, does anyone know what the difference is?? (the reason i went to napa is becasue i get a pretty nice discount there,,,)

truck is,, 1998 GMC 2500HD 6.5l TD (vin F) ok,, at the beginning of last week the check engine light came one and the truck poured like a greyish colored smoke out,, checked the codes p0236 (turbo boost sensor A circuit),, when that code came up i thought to my self that i dont remember...
