Grand Rock HDT-4A exhaust diverter valve...Junk!

Hey guy's. Been busy as heck. Just starting to get some free time again. I wanted to post this to keep someone else from having to go through the BS of sending this scrapmetal back. I'll try to check in more often. I have some pics to post of a new challenger...yep..a Dodge:WTF:..Nick talked me...

Grand Rock HDT-4A exhaust diverter valve...Junk!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I ordered a Grand Rock 4" diverter valve for the ability to switch from my stacks to under bed exhaust on long trips. Sounded like a great product until I opened the box and saw what looked like to be a mangled...

    01 f250 7.3...what did I get myself into?

Forgot to update my post. My transmission mechanic bought the truck from me while it was still on the rack getting the trans rebuilt. He is using it to pull his race cars to the track. I never got to drive it after the rebuild but I do get to see it now and then. it seems to be holding up well...

    Balancing media, any opinions?

I use them on my MT's because they are hard to keep balanced. Not sure what brand, IIRC they are called dyna beads or something, I don't ask, I just go with whatever my tire guy recommends. They seem work great for keeping the big knobby tires form vibrating on the hwy. I have aftermarket rims...

37's with a 4-6" TC lift Is this a bad idea?

Yea, but I bet you don't drive like I do. I have to look but I bet my tires don't have over 12-15K miles and you can see the air in the back ones. The fronts still have 40% but are cupping bad! Can't hear the radio @ 70. I never rotated them because I knew they wouldn't be on there long. I...

    Shocks Opinions

I just happen to have a set of (IIRC) 5100? Bilstein nickel shocks 0-2" just sitting in my shed :rolleyes5:that I took off my truck to put the lift on. They were on there less than 6 months. Before I put the lift, I had swapped keys in the front and added 2" blocks in the back running 33" tires...

    Running Spring Clamps...

Paul, when you get the new timbrens installed can you start a new thread with them in the title so all related comments/questions about those can be in one thread. I am really interested in the feedback on these and forget to look for the thread titled spring clamps. I am a busy man Ha! Axle...

37's with a 4-6" TC lift Is this a bad idea?

I may ride out to the store tomorrow to take a GOOD look at them because honestly, that is how I got stuck with the procomps, buy 3 get 1 free sale, the price was very appealing. I should have known better than to let them put a D rated tire on my truck with as much as I tow. What pisses me off...

37's with a 4-6" TC lift Is this a bad idea?

MTZ's do not come in my size with an E load rating. So far I have found firestone destinations, toyo mt's, kumho kl71's. Of all of the different tires I have burned off of my truck I would have to say that I liked the cooper stt's the best when I had 33's but again no E ratings for my app. I am...

37's with a 4-6" TC lift Is this a bad idea?

Yep, this was a bad idea. As much as I would like the look of a filled in wheel well, it would be cheaper to buy a ford (did I really just say that?). While tire shopping I met up with a guy that has the exact setup as I was looking to try to pull off. I wish I had taken a pic, his truck was...

37's with a 4-6" TC lift Is this a bad idea?

I have seen a few trucks with the lift set to 5" and clearing 37's with a little rubbing on the far inside. My 35's have a lot of room with my axles sitting flat. Wheel offset is the key to fitting bigger tires on a GM. What really pisses me off is that my buddy is running 35X12.5/17's on his 06...

37's with a 4-6" TC lift Is this a bad idea?

The more I look at the stupid narrow/tall wheel wells:mad2: on my truck the more I want to take a sawzall to 'em! I like the look of a filled wheel well. The more I look at my 35's the smaller they seem to get. I am seriously considering stuffing a set of cooper stt 37's in those big stupid...

    Earthquake impact from harbor freight.....

That's promising. My crapsman impact only made it 3 years and the ratchet sucks also, it hangs up a lot. That was my last trip to sears ever again! I'll admit to owning a few tools from HF but they are specialty, hardly ever needed like small pullers etc. They make a small ball joint press that...
