What are the threads on an OEM lift pump?

About a year ago I went to NAPA to get some fittings to adapt the fuel lines to a LP from a 5.9 Cummins. They said they didn't have them, couldn't get them...and it wouldn't work! I went home, cut off the ends of the no good GM LP and welded them to the fitings that were in the Dodge pump...

    tank baffle??

My tank has a baffle. I have no sock. I have a strainer ($5 item) before the LP. No problems.

    Hot Lift Pump?

Something to check that is seldom mentioned is the "O" rings on both sides of the pump. If you remove the pump you can damage the "O" ring. You can have a lot of troubles with the pressure and not a drop of fuel noticeable dripping out. I had similar trouble through the winter. I did a...

    Good buy or not

I think some of the negative impressions come from the castings. They are very porous because of the high nickle content, I think it is, and so they cover it with way more paint then you see any where else. So the impression is, they're covering something up! As you describe, they are a...

FYI try Fluid Film for bare metal protection / lubrication

Your local John Deere dealer probably carries it. I buy it off of a seller on Ebay. 2 one gallon cans, 2 qt. containers, one with a brush, one for an undercoating gun, and the gun---for like $92. Use it on the bottom of your truck and rust won't appear. Use it as a lube on virtually any...

FYI try Fluid Film for bare metal protection / lubrication

Here's a link to plowsite. You can see where folks use it. You can even get a free sample spray can. It is excellent, exp. if you have a snow plow on your truck. It will save it from rust. http://www.plowsite.com/forumdisplay.php?f=68

Wooden handle (shovel, rake, hoe etc) protection Teak oil ??????

In the "old days" farmers would often have a barrel with sand in it which they dumped drained oil in. They would insert their wooden handled tools in the sand with the implement facing up!! That's where they stored them and they received ongoing protection. They reused everything. Some...

    EPROM tester....

I saw this and thought there might be someone here with some interest. I do not understand electrical stuff so maybe this has nothing you could use. http://cgi.ebay.com/Eprom-Testing-Programing-Data-Eqt-several-Pcs-/220753448301?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3365ee4d6d

    Good buy or not

That's 41 hr/yr. He didn't use it much. Since you are familiar with the Belarus brand and can get parts the only thing to stop you from buying would be if the current owner had something negative to say about it. I'd ask him why he's selling it? What he like about it? What he dislikes about...

    Service Throttle Soon and codes....

Today I removed the LP, removed the fuel cap, dumped in half bottle of 911 and blew 5-6 burst of air into the tank from the LP suction line. Used an air bubble starting with 80 PSI. Then I removed the fuel filter and pumped out the remaining diesel. I laid under the truck with a clear...

    Service Throttle Soon and codes....

My plan is to remove the LP and the fuel cap and blow air through the tank. With out reinstalling the LP I'm thinking to clear the line to the FM. I would like to do this with out removing the FM in this weather. I'm satisfied it's clean from 5 months ago going through it. Question: If I...

    Service Throttle Soon and codes....

I took the Airtec LP back to Oh Really, woops O'Reilly, and went to NAPA and got theis. Rated 10-15 PSI, 32 GPH. The new Airtec was pumping about 11 ounces per minute!! Got to be some restriction somewhere. Matt, I checked my ticket for the FSU. It list part number FG01E, and that's suppose...

    Service Throttle Soon and codes....

I installed a new fuel sending unit a few months ago. I removed the tank and made sure it was clean inside. Bison, if I had a wire from the B+ to the F pin connected while driving wouldn't that over ride the possibility of the OPS having any impact on the stumbling----as long as it was hooked...

You described it. I was sure the only gasket was the flat one that came with it. That gasket has to set on the flange just outside the riser with the slots of the fuel moniter. But at this point I feel like I fell of the turnip truck!
