Took the big trucks down some of the major mountains. But where I live we have much much steeper grades just shorter distances. Makes for some hairy rides! Had the backhoe on my dually and trued to stop and turn halfway down one.....thats what took reverse out of my 4l80!

yes 3.1 and 3.4s both have the intake gasket issue. Yes only 2 sizes on the push rods. tighten the rockers slowly tho. They have auto lash setting lifters. Sometimes they are a pain. But anytime you have a 3.1 or 3400 check those intake gaskets. Look for moisture in the oil. Check both the...

Mine is still on the ssd cooler on the intake. I haven't had any issues with operation but I do know mine is cracked from hanging. It will go elsewhere when it breaks off.
changed injector and replaced the rubber lines around. It does run better and doesn't die when I let off quick. But still has to prime to start. Thinking maybe that new IP is the suspect.
