I've been searching since last night and can't find what part number the relay is only thing I know is its a 5 pin relay. Or is that all I need is to get a 5 pin relay and dosnt matter what kind?

If your building one yourself get as high quality as you can, but even a cheapy 30 amp relay will work. If you want to add a momentary contact switch to turn pump on from under the hood you'll need a 5 pin relay, if you don't want that a 4 pin will work also.

Another option is to buy one made up already and it just so happens I have them.

Ok I did my ops relay mod buy wanted to check the lift pump well I found a red wire that had a inline fuse that was broke or cut.

I'm guessing I should hook this back up?

Looks like someone ran a wire from switched (key switch) power directly to the pump. Was the pump working?

I'm not sure if the pump is working I put a new inline fuse were that one was broke how do I test the pump I think I might just spend the 60 or what ever it is and get one.
Will the 3500 or HD pump give me more fuel or is it the same lift pump.

With the vehicle off, put the trans in drive and turn the key to start. It will tell you if there is power to the LP and if it runs. It will not tell you if it is pumping or if the OPS is good.

Just put a brand new ops in when I did the mod what a pain in my ass that was luckily my neighbor had the snap on socket for it. So if I put it in drive and turn the key and while the wts is on I should hear it pump?

$15 so worth it. Tee in before the ip. Tells you when lp is working, restriction from fuel filter or tank. Etc. when the lp is not working your ip will draw through lp, wearing it out quicker, less power, less mpg, no more guessing.
I don't think I'm going guess I'm just going to test it tomorrow to make sure im getting power and get just replace it to be safe than sorry

When the electrical works, it will make noise, and might pump some fuel. But without reading a pressure gauge, the ip could be pulling the ip to a vacuum and starving it for fuel. I put it 3 brand new, from the dealership AC Delco fuel pumps into my suburban in a 2 day period. In the fleets we would see about 1 in 100 AC Delco fail within 3 months, about 20% of the after markets did the same. These were gassers, but it taught me mass production fails. New does not mean good. Your call, I'm just trying to save you future headache.

Honestly I don't hear the fuel pump kick on or make noise at all I mean I can hook 12v to it and see if it runs but that's what I'm saying if I hook 12v to it tomorrow and it dosnt run then I have a problem. I was just saying I might just replace it to replace. Also I don't have a problem with fuel or anything the truck runs great it's just sometimes I have to give it throttle to start it. I mean I can rev the truck to 3k in neutral and let go and it dosnt shudder or anything it's getting fuel but I don't know if it's the IP giving it fuel of if the lift pump is even working.

Is there anyway to make sure it's even turning on before I get a gauge. I never even hurt a pump buzz after turning the truck off even today when it was running I touched it and didn't feel anything really

You should hear it run after the engine is shut off, until oil pressure drops. Will's advise on a gauge is good, I have one in the cab.

Should it be a decently audible noise because I never hear anything and I did open the t valve and drained about a pint of fuel out while the engine was on it really didn't seem to pump fast.

It should be a steady stream, a pressure test is the best indicator.

You either have a very quite LP or are in need of hearing aids:) J/K

Open the door when the vehicle is shut off.
