What relay is used for the ops mod

It should be a steady stream, a pressure test is the best indicator.

You either have a very quite LP or are in need of hearing aids:) J/K

Open the door when the vehicle is shut off.
Will do tomorrow when I get to work I might just use a pressure gauge from home Depot and make a test gauge it'll be cheaper than advance or other stores and I won't have to wait for it to come if o order one.

Should it be a decently audible noise because I never hear anything and I did open the t valve and drained about a pint of fuel out while the engine was on it really didn't seem to pump fast.
No, its just a slight ticking sound when on. You'd have to listen for it. If you got fuel out of filter with truck on and engine did not die your LP is working, if IP was drawing the fuel it would have stalled as soon as it gulp some air but LP was keeping up so it did not get any air.
The fuel PSI gauge is the most important day to day gauge you can have on these things.

So when installing a fuel gauge do I install it pre filter or post filter or can I install one at the drain t. I'm guessing buying your fuel gauge bolt is the easiest.

You can do either. Post filter can help ID if the filter is plugging up, pre filter lets you know LP is working and at what PSI. My FPT is Pre filter.

Ok thanks I'll check everything tomorrow what should a good fuel pressure read at the Schrader valve at idle.

Ok lift pump works still haven't checked the psi will do that if the rain ever stops.
I had to give if throttle today when I was cranking to start it when I was leaving work. But the fuse I hooked back up had the pump running not stop when I was working oops.
Maybe bad glow plugs?

One of those 2 studs on the electrical center should only be hot with key on. It might be hooked to the wrong one.

I lied this is the amount of diesel I got out of the drain valve before closing it back up. There was allot of dirt in it anyway. I had to give my truck throttle twice today to start. I changed ops and coolant temp sensor and fuel filter , Pmd is brand new I think it might be a Dorman previous owner put it on. Truck runs great I can wot going up hills or on the highway I can neutral rev to 2500 and hold it no problem I can rev to 2500 and let off the gas and it drops fine no problems idle is steady. I think my lift pump is going I never hear it run when I shut the truck off only when it's in drive and I turn the key.

So all you did was ad he relay? In stock form you should hear the LP run when you shut it off especially when cold and oil pressure lasts longer after shutdown.

Don't hear it run at all when I shut it off i used that wiring diagram and installed a brand new ops. I hope that is the right wiring diagram it was pretty straight forward.
Number 30 I just cut the orange wire and put a lead on and crimped it shut.
I have a feeling I messed it up somewhere along the way because I'm finding all different ways to do it and quite frankly I'm confused know.

Even though I cut and spliced wires when I did my Lift pump relay upgrades, I prefer Leroy's plug and ply harness. If I do another, I will either use Leroy's harness or make mine similar, by running wires down to plug into the lift pump plugs. I also do the prime feature by Tapping into the glow plugs to trigger the relay while the glow plugs are on.
Maybe we should go back to the old lift pump relay threads and mention the new and improved plug and play method. I never did like splicing into factory wiring if it could be avoided.

When doing the relay upgrade is it rarely necessary to change the OPS. Even though it is not putting out enough juice to run the lift pump, it is more than likely putting out enough juice to trigger a relay to run the lift pump.
