For a dedicated tow rig, or one that sees lots of heavy towing, I personally reccomend the a team turbo that LEROY sells. It is not a wastegated turbo, and is matched to the 6.5's air requirements. It will be a little slower to build boost that some of the HX style turbos, but once the engine is in it's power band it will be right there on boost for you. For a daily driver it would be a toss up to me. The HX is going to give you quicker boost simply due to the fact it is a wastegated turbo, and dumps boost to keep boost down at upper RPM's whereas the ATT is matched to the engines air needs and doesn't need to dump boost. And despite what some will say, tuning plays a HUGE role in how the turbos work. If I was running a stock tune, or the tune that many here rave about, I would probably lean to the HX simply because they can cover for poor tuning and make the 6.5 run good with not ideal tuning. If your going to get a good tune, then I would go with the turbo that is matched to the engines airflow needs. And I believe the ATT is going to get the MPG edge as well since it will have lower drive pressures at cruise.
