I am having difficulty when shifting from park lately. I already push the brake pedal.

I wonder if anybody have any input on what can go wrong?

Thanks for the help.

I have a little trouble when parked on hills. Any tricks to avoid the issue other than not parking on hills?
Set the parking brake with it. The parking pawls in the 4L80E are prone to what is known as torque lock. When a load is applied the parking pawl is designed to push in and hold tighter to prevent a vehicle from moving when in park. Setting the parking brake I found would provide enough resistance to keep the pawl from digging in super tight. I do this as well with the ALLISON as it is the same way.
