Stick with a quality dex-cool with distilled water, or go with Caterpillar ELC. No reason to change coolant and chance getting one that reacts with dex-cool. I'm not a fan of deep pans myself. Installing the Earl's cooler is money better spent. Make sure and clean your cooling stack out thoroughly. I would also recommend a Kennedy fan clutch. For an LLY, the best mods you can do is to go with the GM round filter calibration, and install an LBZ intake system. 01-05 airboxes are restrictive and the stock mouthpiece is beyond a choke point. Putting an LBZ intake system in, a basic lift pump like a Kennedy single, 4" exhaust, blocking your EGR, abd a matching tune will make it feel like a completely different truck.
