installing blocker plate/finger stick AND code P0403 question

Even though I didn't expect to find a problem with the connections (they were all soldered) I checked em anyway...all was good. Even though the nuts were tight on the plate it still appears to have a small leak - a little soot/dark spot on the exhaust side of the blocker plate edge. So far, the codes have not come back after another tank of fuel.

Is the gasket on the firewall side of the plate?
Funny you should mention that. While I was changing the FF today I looked and I do not see anything that looks like an exhaust gasket in there. I don't see any signs of leaks either for that matter... I didn't get involved with the FS wiring today. I'll save that for one of those cold Sunday afternoons in Jan or Feb when I just want to hang around in the warm shop and tinker.
