I joined to get unbiased info on my trucks
My '96 GMC 2500 6.5 turbo 5 spd was bought new it now has 213K miles, still gets about 20 MPG and I am considering getting it rebuilt. After 18 years I have decided I must have a remote oil filter and I'm looking for input on that or how to remove the filter with a wrench, none of my efforts and tools have worked consistently and I'm too old to lay in the driveway and fight the filter every 3K miles.

My '84 Power Ram 360 V8 was rebuilt about 10 years ago, it has upgraded exhaust and a Detroit Locker. My custom paint job was applied with a household paint roller
Looking forward to talking with you guys.

Welcome to the forum. You should find it laid back and informative about many subjects.

There are a few Threads/Posts here and there about relocation kits. Search a bit and read then start yourself a new thread with a title something like "Suggestions for an oil filter relocation kit" and you'll get more replies. I have a Perma Cool, Canton Racing, and Russel Performance pieces relocated oil filters. Amsoil has a bypass kit. Use 1/2 ID or -8 AN hose at a minimum.

Add some stuff about your trucks and or you to your signature and enjoy the forum.
