Heath ATT reflash

True & verified with MT2500 scanner both trucks, I read before & after EGT's & fuel rates stock vs KOJO tune in Terry's truck.

I've been around enough trucks/programs to know it's more than a subjective feel, not saying anything wrong with the KOJO tune it requires more operator vigilance though as it really rolls the EGT quick.

One feature that is a difference is the 3" exhaust, which may allow for a more rapid building of EGT; we'd have to try a 4" to know if that is a component of what is going on.

I did not swap truck to truck as no theft deterrent to be learned in Terry's WT model truck my PCM would not work in Terry's truck, and I doubt his would have worked in mine for same reason, we did not have enough day for me to try it in mine as it is a 30-40 minute learn process if you don't have the GM T2 tool to do an instant theft deterrent module/code learn and I did not want to possibly upset what was working in both our trucks late in the day.

My Heath hits max fuel 80+mm off ht e line then backs out as truck comes up to speed with some neat shifting & TCC locking features, in comparison the KOJO stayed at max fuel according to my scanner until letting off the throttle in Terry's.

But we are discussing Terry's program right? If EGTs are too high its not just because of fueling. Your gauges are differnt as well. He could probably use a little more advance at WOT in this case. I think my EGT gauge is slow, its old, but it doesnt fly up real fast like I've seen on others that look like tachometers.

This is an interesting thread. Obviously I've been too busy for a while to keep up with what's been in the works. I'm really interested in how well Heath's TCC works in the '98 since it's really easy to put the tranny in limp mode with the BD TorqLoc I've got now. With some of the curvy hills I run at 20k GGCW, the first thing on my wish list would be TCC lockup in second gear.

(Also interested in the latest ATT tune since I had one of the early ones)

My understanding is the 5068 IP is basically the same pump just designed to put out more fuel at lower rpms but not more overall

I am interested in the 5068 Vs 5067,5521 pumps. I have a 5067 on my Z71 5521 waiting for install, and a new 5068 in my 94 I was thinking about swapping it out for the pump off of my spare 98 engine. If 5068 DOES have an advantage I might keep it! (maybe even look for spares!)
