Installing a extra fuel filter. Should I put it on before the lift pump or after the lift pump? Does it matter?

This is just a base line but if it is greater than 10 micron put it pre LP, if less than 10 micron go post LP.

X2 ideal would be a (3) filter setup; with 20 or 30 mic prefilter, to a 10 mic after lift, and then a 5 (like oem) or a 2 prior to the IP, since cost & real estate for mounting can be a factor 10 micron as a pre-lift is a good compromise.

Make sure your 10 mic as a prefilter is low flow restriction, on my rig I have the Racor 60 gph element in 10 micron to keep flow restriction to a minimum.
