5.7 diesel up and running

The shop called today saying the collar is ready.Heres a picture of what it looks like. There isn’t much to it but I’m going to use larger outside diameter flat washers so the collar/ring doesn’t decide to work loose and fall out.Its a tight fit though.I had the pulley off and the collar is pretty tight upon the balancer.

I also bench bled the master cylinder and it’s back on the truck. The pushrod under the dash is also connected now to the brake pedal.Tomorrow if I get a chance I hope to put the grille back in place and the optional hood latch cable and the various parts that came with it.Instead of opening the hood from the outside,a cable will be used inside the cab.

Never herd of it afore.
I may of heard of that product before but I have’nt used it.The balancer and pulley are back on the engine and torqued in place after using some loctite.I’m looking forward in getting this truck road ready.I don’t have much more to do with it but I’m pretty eager to start driving it again. Its been about 15yrs.

Anyone tried this stuff?

Ummmm.... Yeah.... Relying on a FaceCrook video featuring 'Papaw' as our resident expert that also references TikTik as a set of fact check points. That'll win some Nobel prizes for scientific discovery. <SMH> :banghead:

Oh, and I noticed that Dr. Papaw did not bother to repeat the test with just the mystery oil stuff to prove that it would not have created the same divot in the test material. Gotta love love it when somebody presents red dyed water as wine.

Yelp, if you're going to test stuff, do so with an equal test, as they say apples to apples, not apples to oranges. He should have started fresh when he tested the Prolube the same exact way for sure.

Today some archoil diesel injector cleaner arrived from Amazon and another serpentine USA made belt for my 5.7 diesel.I look forward in using the archoil product in the 5.7 and my other diesel vehicles.I read archoil is a good product.
