I have sold my Optimizer sometime ago and now looking to get rid of a few extra parts.
I am listing both my DB4 and DB2 injection pumps. Would like 1,200.00 for the pair plus shipping.
PM me with any questions or offers.
I had L&L ladders on an old square body Chevy of mine... Rode crazy stiff. In the winter time it acted like it had a locked rear end. They really bound the suspension up.
I think they need a front shackle to let the ladder bars float a little yet stop axle from wrapping.
I used Orange High Temp RTV on my studs.. torqued to 125, but 110 probably is more the sufficient even on a Optimizer block...
Getting ready to do the 1.6 rocker swap soon
I have my Harland Sharp rockers still sitting here on the dining room table, I went with the 1.6 non adjustable rockers. The odd thing is, on the package it says :
DFGM65K
6.5L GM Turbo Diesel
Stock Ratio (1.6:1) Anodized
I was under the impression that all the years 6.2 / 6.5 were supposed...
I just went through the ignition switch problem in my 99 classic K1500 Z71... I replaced the lock cylinder to end up with ignition switch problems, tore the ignition switch all apart and cleaned the contacts.. problem solved.
Maybe avoid using valve cover gaskets... I think the only thing available is cork and they are almost guaranteed to leak. My Optimizer came with the valve covers and oil pan glued on with the "right stuff".
When I had went through my motor, I used the valve cover gaskets and black RTV and it...
I've seen a few pics of the CC SB Dually trucks on line and 1 in person but have not in the single wheel... I completely understand what you mean about the practicality of a Crew Cab when having family / kids...
Besides my long time project Dually, another Suburban maybe in the future...
Stanadyne has an optional Aneroid.... at least that's what I'm assuming it is, but maybe not.
Look down under the options.

It's already been proven that IDI's in general don't need 2 injection pumps to make 300 or even 400 hp ......
A heavily modded DB4 should do the trick.
Although it's rather expensive... POR 15 will hold up much better then any other paint on the frame / suspension.
Looks like you are doing a great job..!!!
