I have the LTX M/S on mine, love em so far. Good traction in the rain and snow. Couldnt even get started from an uphill stoplight when the pavement was wet with my old BFG AT's. Got 30K on them now and they still have lots of tread left. Less than average off road, stuck in wet grass is...
I have the truck into the dealer right now for injectors, I told him about the hole in the tube and that I had repaired it (however half assed for now) and Dont bother telling me how much a new one cost. I think that with tube pushed all the way into the hoses and the clamps tightened it has...
Thanks guys,
Seems like when I read through the Instructions for the Cognito kit, it had the T-bars cranked up in addition to the new upper A arms. Thanks for your replys.
If the T-Bars are already cranked up would a leveling kit raise the truck any further? I dont want to add a leveling kit that lets off the T-Bars to the stock setting and end up with the truck at the same height it is now. OR should I get a 4-6" lift, install the front and then raise the rear...
Lots of variation in the tire department. Thanks for all the input guys, I like my Michies for now but I am leaning toward the Toyo's for my next set. If I may throw a little twist into the thread, what do yall think about load ratings and which tires (besides the 19.5-22.5 crowd) have the best...
Finally couldnt stand it and had to try and get the badges offf my '03. Pulled it in the shop Saturday, got some fishing line, a hair dryer, and some Goo Off. I started on the tailgate just to see how it would go. Peeled some off with just the hairdryer, others needed the fishing line and some...
Cobra Nightwatch, had it peaked n tweaked. Gets out there pretty good. I dont know if I like the mount location, I want to cut up the lower cubby and put it in there, but there is lots of plastic to remove in the back to make it a flush mount and I would still need an external speaker. I had one...
I dont have one, but from what I have read, the stock boost is around 20-24 and with the ppe valve it is more like 26-30? Dont quote me on it, but I think thats purty close. I would look around at your fittings and for the dreaded intercooler tube hole.
I think that since it is in the intercooler tube it should be under pressure from the turbo, least I hope it is? Even at lower engine speeds there should be some boost. (I dunno, I dont have a boost gauge yet) The funny part is that the elbow from the steel line fit perfectly into the groove in...
My hearing is shot (literally) but some friends said they thought it sounded like a high pitched air leak, I did notice it had more passing power on the drive home. I only checked it because I saw some pics of a similar hole and figured I had better check mine out. The computer said we were...
Well, I didnt see this thread here so Ill post up my Saturday afternoon work.
After reading about several others with this problem and since I have had EVERY other malady that has come along, I figured mine must have a hole in it as well. Pulled the inner fender, and sure enough, there it is...
I saw a few pics from a guy that had done the whole shebang on the dash and steering wheel. It looked awesome! I am a bit nervous to try it, shaky hands and big sausage fingers arent the hot ticket for small led/resistor soldering. I am planning on swapping the 194 bulbs in the map lights to...
Rats, I new I shoulda had the camera charged before I started. Ill try and work out a diagram and some of the finer points later this week. It isnt difficult, I am sure you can do it as well.
I agree with Chromer.
Mine felt like the whole rear end was trying to shift back and forth under the truck, only at a stop or start. Pull the driveshaft and lube it real well. I do mine every other oil change now. No more clunk.
Thanks yall. I wanted to be able to have some light for getting in and out of the truck in the dark, seems the kids are always losing something. I dont know if I will be driving with them on or not, I did spend some time and placed them so that the bulb is not in my line of vision when I am...
