Has anyone else had their fuel filter vibrate loose? I tightened it pretty good when I installed it, but I don't drive my truck much so it's been on their awhile. I started getting error code P0087 which is low fuel rail pressure so I figured I would change the filter even though it had 63% life...
You can mix Dexron and Transynd, the results will not be as good as if you had switched over to transynd. I have not heard that you had to mix it a certain way. if you do decide to switch over completely to synthetic be sure to install a new internal filter as well as a new spin on filter.

Since we use a synthetic gear oil no additives are needed. I also used the Amsoil severe gear oil with no additives. Works great. Amsoil has a nifty application chart on their web page. it comes in handy when trying to get the correct weight and spec.:D

WD 40 and channel locks worked for me. Hook one side behind the rubber and the other on the end of the hanger,squeezed the pliers and it slid right off. I used a floor jack to lift the frame, looped it around the axle it came out pretty easy. good luck.:D
