Avoid Duralast Gold Severe Duty pads. Not up to the job and severe damage results.

Fwiw I have run the severe duty stuff from our local pep boys on multiple vehicles now and have had only one complaint for a squeel. He is a cronic complainer though. I have em on my truck as we speak.

Adding a Fuel Prefilter System on a 2012 LML

The only reason I'd be hesitant to do so is because GM as a warranty company is looking for any and every excuse to deny your warranty. There is plenty of dealers willing to look the other way on stuff like this but then there is some that will flat refuse to do anything under warranty. It is...

    Lbz won't start.

Ok. There is a crank fuse in the underhood fuse block, 10 amp. Check that. The ecm will only power the coil on the starter relay if it see's a signal from the crank fuse. It also could be the ignition switch. God knows we do enough of them here. There should be 2 terminals with power if you...

    Lbz won't start.

When u say truck will not start, you mean it cranks but wont run or just doesnt do anything when you turn the key to start? Two completely different things to go after.

Fan Remove and Clutch Bearing Replace

Mike, check out your local dealer for the pulleys, they are cheaper than napa by a long shot. Atleast here they are. My price even list here is around 20 bucks. Just for the bearing at napa was 45 bucks when mine locked up on me on a sunday last year.

Fan Remove and Clutch Bearing Replace

Mike, in order to remove the fan you need to remove the upper radiator shroud first, it is 2 bolts, and 4 plastic retainers, also need to remove the tcm from the shroud. Next you will need to loosen the big nut holding the fan to the pulley. Once thats loose, the main fan shroud can be removed...

Fuel System for a 2006 Duramax

Yes the bulk of the fuel comes back via the pump, the other major contributer is the injector returns. When you doing a throttled run and let off the excess from the injector bodies goes through the return tubes and back. There is no return line pre engine filter. Yes our fuel is very filtered:)

Heavy Duty Serpentine Belt For Duramax

The lly or the lb7 are relatively easy to do. The lbz and up have a fan shroud that bolts to the front of the engine for some purpose and leaves minimal room to much of anything up front. I find that removing the upper bolt gives you some play up top and unfortunately the crank is best attained...

    2004 Duramax stalling

More then likely its the wif sensor. Also there is no pressure test procedure afaik. The only procedure I do it to make sure it starts and runs.

Installing an EGR Blocking Plate, Finger Stick, PCV Reroute.

Grady, the exhaust pressure get high enough when you start to hit the mid 20's and low 30's for boost pressures. I am not sure what boost pressure the evo gives you but thats what it takes to over come spring pressure. Ymmv based on mileage and soot build up ect. The blocker plate is indeed a...

    New Garrett® model GT4094VA turbocharger

Henry, have you heard any feedback on these as far as noticable power increases over the stock vnt? I have been looking at these for some time and want one but I am hesitant based on the advertised power levels it achieves.

Injector Removal and Drive Gear Diesel Pump Removal

The injectors are obviously internal to the valve covers, pretty easy to remove. The injection pump of bolted to the front cover and it sits in the valley of the block. If you have the top of the engine removed for the injectors then getting at the pump is a sinch.

No New Post in this Forum in 2.5 Weeks

Barry, as far as the trans goes, I would find a competent builder first then let them dictate the appropriate parts and build. I say so because there is a life time of support if there is ever a problem and there is a nack to the allison that most people whom never touched on wont know. As far...

    GMT800 Upper Ball Joint R&R

Yeah, go with the napa best and press em in. They work rather well and also have the security clip so they wont fall out. Gm Just wanted to make more money on the control arms and not have to design a suitable replacement joint for them.

Will this work as a torsion bar tensioner?

I would not use it. It takes a ton of pressure to move them enough to get the blocks out to remove the key so please be careful.
