Fixed tore the hole damn truck apart and get ready found the ground strap from the engine block to the frame haning on for dear life with about 4 strands of wire. Installed a new ground strap made from 10ga wire crimped and soldered ring terminals. Truck has never started better. now to put...
both fuses and bulb are good, I have to check the wire that is on the passenger side that comes off the glow plug wire next all I have to do is find were it might be located. I have no power at the 10amp fuse.
Turn the key on all I get is the glow plug relay clicking, Installed a new relay still clicks and no glow plug light, any help would be great. not sure were to start.
thanks for all the insight I was able to put it on the machine today sucked it down made sure it held a vacuum for about an hour and serviced her up with 3.5lbs of R134A freon and ops checked good blowing icecubes out of the vents and the kids are complaining that it is to cold. (Perfect)
thanks for the info guys. Still do not understand when the ac is turned on with the rear turned off the comperssor cycles when I turn the rear on the compressor does not cycle. I guess I will have to put the machine on it and suck it down and service it up with 4lbs of freon.
how much R134A freon does my 95 suburban hold?
I serviced the freon today set the high side to 150psi and the low side to 30psi. I noticed that when I had the a/c on the compressor would cycle on and off, when I would turn on the a/c for the back passenger the compressor would not cycle on...
Had to call in the big guns for this one after talking to Bill Heath, come to find out that my home made cold air box was the problem. Removed box and went back to stock setup all is well again. Can't hardly wait for is cold air box to come out.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
performed the water in a jar test here are the results
1st run: had good vacuum 1to2 inches of water and bubbles devolped at 2500 rpm
2cd run: removed the screens from the passenger side valve cover same
results as the fisrt run.
3rd run: removed cdr valve no vacuum or...
after more trouble shooting oil is only coming from the top of the dipstick the rest of the engine is clean as far as I can tell. Been all over it with a mirror and flash light.
I have an oil leak for sometime now and i'm starting to narrow it down, some back ground driver side valve cover starting leaking changed that with a cork gasket found that was not such a good idea. Removed that and changed with ultra gray rtv did this 3 times with the leak at the same place...
