I just noticed a mounting detail pic I forgot to share.

    2013 Escalade ESV w/ SLP TVS2300

Thanks! Yeah, exactly what I was thinking - with the ash tray removed it’s easier to trim it out. On the other hand, it does feel more trick having the ash tray there. I’ll let it marinate for a bit.

    2013 Escalade ESV w/ SLP TVS2300

This week I added a little sumpin’ sumpin’ for my back seat passengers to add to their travel comfort and enjoyment. Any time Kelli’s kids road in the back seats, I felt bad they didn’t have a good place to put their drinks or other little things they had with them. The cupholder in the back of...

    2013 Escalade ESV w/ SLP TVS2300

Yeah, I had an assortment of blades so I could cut through just one layer or both the inner and outer layers at once. I remember the biggest struggle being the dogleg, but I eventually persevered.

Yeah, a cordless Makita sawzall and a bunch if blades.

    2013 Escalade ESV w/ SLP TVS2300

I was originally going to just build the engine so it took full advantage of what the 2300 is capable of, but now I'm planning on having the LSA supercharger I have ported. I should still be able to achieve 700 horse at the wheels.

I also got a new plate for it last week. Someday it will be worthy of it, but I wanted to get this one while it was still available.

    2013 Escalade ESV w/ SLP TVS2300

I have a whole slew of parts collecting to be put into/onto this thing. I’d like to think I’ll finally be ready to start on that next year.

    2013 Escalade ESV w/ SLP TVS2300

The oil pressure sensor went bad. I spent over an hour trying to remove it. I had an OPS socket that I had already done some trimming on so I could reach the sensor under the intake on a 6.5…… so I kept trimming it and trimming it until it would clear the supercharger’s intake and slide onto the...

    1994 K3500 extended cab dually

Thank you. Yeah, it isn't the attaching that worries me.....it's the drilling into the oil pan that I don't want to do. I don't want to risk getting any shavings into the engine. I know I could try coating the bit with grease, or some other tricks, but it just isn't worth it to me to risk it...

    1994 K3500 extended cab dually

This is the front bumper with integrated intercooler heat exchanger that I built for the black Tahoe. Those details are in my intercooler thread and start here: https://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/threads/my-water-to-air-intercooler-install.44492/post-534968

Thanks. I sure wish GM had done it…..this has been a lot of work. And I still have a lot of grinding to go before it’s done.

    1994 K3500 extended cab dually

I finally have the cooling stack mock-up done. My goals were to: 1. Seal the radiator to the core support. 2. Improve airflow through the cooling stack. 3. Flip the AC condenser and trans/engine oil cooler orientation in the stack. Point 3 is odd, but my thought here was that air...

    1994 K3500 extended cab dually

It might be. I also have a smaller one on-hand. I had thought about using it and also have a remote cooler to supplement just in case, but then decided to just go with the larger one and be safe. Plus, I reasoned the larger oil cooler will help take some of the load for the overall stack. And I...

Another 2 door Tahoe for me

Thank you. Driving it around Saturday renewed my love for it and the 2 door Tahoes. It's a really nice size to drive around and to park. I think if I spend a little time to fix the rust it has, I can keep it in good shape for many years to come if I am smart with coatings and keep it washed...

Another 2 door Tahoe for me

I went to the junkyard for some treasure hunting today and that enabled me to get a picture of it in the open and in the light. I’m still tempted to lift it a little, but I think I’ll just leave good enough alone and leave it stock height for now and just refresh the front end with stock...
