Ds4 fitting for fuel pressure gauge

Given the function of the Air Dog II-5G and 4G series pumps removes air as well as water and gunk, the water and gunk being retained in the filters where the air with excess fuel is returned from the pump to the tank under pressure via a 3/8" hose. Delivering what is similar to the foam we see...

Ds4 fitting for fuel pressure gauge

Never heard of drilling the tank I run the Air Dog DF-165 and utilized the supplied fuel neck adaptor vs drilling the tank. fNo issues.

Ds4 fitting for fuel pressure gauge

I'm just presenting options. How one makes things work is up to the individual. I mean, I guess one could try to stuff the T and the sender under the intake but, not recommended. Heat, clearances, access in the future etc. makes going under bad idea in my book. Earlier, I'd remoted my FFM to the...

Ds4 fitting for fuel pressure gauge

OEM IP Inlet 7/16 ORB to 1/4" Barb and the aftermarket with the -6 AN. IP Fitting to -6AN Push Lock example. Realizing this thread was pretty much all about a fitting for a cleaner Fuel Pressure gauge set up, here's a couple of under $15 solutions for those using a Leroy type FTB kit using...

    Lower Intake Thread Repair Solutions.

The Time-Serts arrived and they worked just fine. A little different in style/construct but they threaded in as hoped. The Senmmonn inserts have a wider lip than the Time-serts and, having already prepared the intake for the Senmmonns, the Time-serts seated a little deeper but, that’s fine...

"Shut down [my] thread." Now my feeling are hurt. sniff I appreciate the offered gift but, please, keep the "F" intake for personal us and use pieces of the "S" intake to repair the broken one. I'll be getting my spare intake repaired next week when I visit Chris and, of course, I'll be sure...

Sorry about the cat and I appreciate your looking out for me. Future intake is just that, future = maybe next year, maybe next week. We’ll see.

Small Update. As I mentioned earlier, I am not at all thrilled with these stainless M8 x 1.25 threaded inserts (about $10 for six) but, they served the purpose of threading into the M10 x 1.5 Heli Coils I mistakenly used. I just don't think I could trust them to torque even to just the 17Flbs...

    Fuel system setup

I agree and have similar observations on all points. Shape of the tank, approx number of gal. left at each quarter on the fuel gauge and the quality / longevity of the unit. I had a couple of long civil, conversations with Leroy on it and, in the end, because of the electrical resistances...

The "Pretty Car" it is. 2024 VW Atlas Cross Sport. AKA, "Pain in the Atlas" Pleasant to drive but, too many electrical gremlins. A subject worthy of another thread.

Pictures of a butchered out upper and lower intake? Or do you want to see the pictures of the spacer and its morphing through development...from idea and concept, through wooden mock ups and a rough cut out by a local machinist, to a CNC'd piece that was once anodized, sorry, Purple? The...

Humpty Dumpty is back together. The insert going into the Helicoiled hole didn’t want to play, hung up and sheared off in the hole. Hmm. Off to ACE Hardware for an extractor. Good thing the wind isn’t blowing 40mph with snow threatening. Oh…wait…. For a very pleasant a change, the thing...

    Lower Intake Thread Repair Solutions.

Did that with the first intake. Did a lot of cutting on the upper half too trying to "improve" air flow inside. Still had to have the EGR on top since it is all open to atmosphere otherwise. Funny story (in hindsight) about that involving an SSDiesel 1st run 'Cold Air Intake Filter. I was...

    Lower Intake Thread Repair Solutions.

Would be a good deal and I hope someone can make use of it. Obviously the "F" intake is the desirable one and the only one I'd personally want. The lower "S" intake is the BUFF (Big Ugly Fat Friend) in the pairing. Only thing I'd use it for is to cut off the mounting holes to weld on to my...

    Lower Intake Thread Repair Solutions.

No. That would be too easy and would have been the responsible thing to have retained. Apparently, according to the guy who took it off, it was 'lost' when removed. So, the material will have to be added a layer at a time and then ground back to shape.

Here's what I got now. RED: M10 Heli Coils with the repair inserts. BLUE: M8 Heli Coils only (As I thought I was doing but....) GREEN: Thread Repair Inserts Only. The top one has yet to be tapped and the 20mm insert installed. I meant to add in the previous post, the spacer is why I chose to...

    Lower Intake Thread Repair Solutions.

Another change I made was getting rid of the "S" intake system. I found this current one in 2009 while visiting the Salt Flats. There's a local shop that was swapping in a 454 for a customer so I bought the upper and lower for $150. Obviously, prices have gone up. My old S intake had a bunch...

Thanks Will. Some of the HMMWV intakes I've seen attached to the heads with bolts dropped in vertically. I know some are also like ours but, hate to take the chance on a listing without pictures and I have a solution to things.

Thank you and I greatly appreciate the offer. It would be a good fit for me as I don't use an FFM anymore either. However, hang on to it and perhaps sell it on E-Bay for a quick $200+ as this one will be fine now and I've got a solution to the other one.
