    OPS: Standard vs AC Delco

The whoosh is actually air being blown out. Take a kleenex and separate the plies...lay it over the top of the cap while you loosen the cap on a warm day, say with 1/2 or less fuel. If the kleenex gets sucked into your tank, I'll remove it for you.(unless you have a defective cap) It'll blow...

    OPS: Standard vs AC Delco

The cap should never allow a vacuum; air has to get in to replace the removal of fuel by the pump It should only not allow venting. Otherwise, the vacuum would start collapsing the tank once it was high enough. Normally on approximately 1/2 full or less tank when cap is released in warm weather...

DS4 IP rebuild time(mechanical aspect only)

So, I have one with fuel leaking out the weep hole at bottom front at drive end. How much disassembly do I need to do to just replace the drive shaft seal,s? Can I avoid taking everything apart? I've had probably close to 100 5.7 and 6.2 pumps apart for seals and new riveted governor weight...

    fuel leak

thanks; sounds like the front and seals may be the same as the 6.2's used.

    fuel leak

Finally got the engine back together and running after down 4 years....looong story; anyway, the fuel injection pump is dripping fuel off what appears to be the head of a small bolt on bottom about 1 inch to rear of mounting flange of pump. Looks to have, maybe a 8mm head. I'm familiar with the...

Starting a fresh engine/IP and inj change

Another easy way to bleed air after bleeding fuel filter is to leave any one injector line a little loose (one that is the easiest to get to). Most of the air will go to this point. Tighten after engine tries to start and fuel drips out.

    what is this module for?

funny thing is.... last week,I was looking at that article about modifying the speed sensor for larger tires. Even ordered the dip switches for it. The unit in the pics didn't register. Now, at least, I won't have to tear dash apart looking for it. Thanks guys for the quick replies.

    what is this module for?

Done some searching on Alldata, but couldn't find answer. When you remove glove box liner(1994 K2500 6.5f), at 6 oclock, there is a white module, approx 1/2 inch thick, 4x4 inches with room for two plugs. One plug (about 8 to 10 pins) and an empty 4 pin socket. Any ideas? :thinking:What would...

    lock up converter mod

thanks, I did, but the references were confusing. Heath refers to a brown wire. Mine is a 1994. I just wanted to be sure. Don't want to fry the pcm.

    lock up converter mod

Ok. I know I need to use pin c11. But there are two plugs at the computer/PCM that have a pin c11.:mad2: A pink plug and a blue plug. BTW both c11 wires are blue, one of them has a white stripe. So, which color plug at PCM? thanks

snapped spade off gloplug, will solder hold it?

solder will work fine. I had a 1974 chevy dump I installed a 6.2 with Banks turbo kit. The clearance between exhaust manifold and #6 and #8 glow plugs was so tight that I removed the tabs, soldered a 3 inch piece of wire on and soldered the tab to the end of the wire. Never had the solder come...
